F. Dean Fox, 61, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at Coker Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial: Oaklawn

Cemetery in Decatur. Roger Rhodes and Ray Wells will officiate.
Visitation: The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at
Coker Funeral Home.

Memorials: The family requests memorial contributions to be made to
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital or Home for Aged Masons and Masonic School.

Dean was born April 14, 1941, in Littlefield to Willis Peek and Azee
Loretta Davis Fox. He married Sue Christian on Sept. 4, 1965, in Uvalde.

He was a member of Lewisville Church of Christ and had previously served

as a deacon at Cates Street Church of Christ in Bridgeport. He was past
president of Optimist International and past master of the Bridgeport
Masonic Lodge #587 AF & AM.

Dean was a funeral director formerly with Hawkins Funeral Home in
Bridgeport for 12 years and was currently working with Mulkey-Mason
Funeral Home in Lewisville for the past three years.

Survivors: His wife, Sue Fox of Lewisville; children, Judy Dawn Cook and

Randy of Lakeland, Fla., Wendy Sue Hale and Scotty of Arlington and
Gregory Dean Fox and Carye of Bridgeport; sister, Sandra G. Miller of
Destin, Fla.; brother, E. Gene Fox of Sweetwater; and grandchildren,
Douglas Gann, Cailin Fox, Mary Jane Cook and Emily Hale.

NEWPORT NEWS - Faylette Elaine Thomas Fox went home peacefully to be
with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003. Fay loved her family dearly
and leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 46 years, Henry; her
children, Christopher Sr. (Vairy) of Hampton, Va., Sheila Savage
(Donald) of Clarksville, Tenn., Rodney (Glenda) of Hampton, Va.,
Reginald (Antonia) of Yorktown, Va., and Kevin (LaShell) of Newport
News, Va.; her grandchildren, Little Chris, Dontrice, Sharena, DiMario,
Joshua and Aaron; one brother, Leslie (Lana) Thomas of Hampton, Va.; and

a host of other cousins, friends, and church family. She was preceded in

death by her parents, Sandy and Marie Thomas; her brother, Charles L.
Thomas; her niece, Leslie Thomas; and cousins, Carolyn Jenkins and
Stephanie J. White. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on
Saturday, Sept. 6, at First Baptist Church Morrison, 12720 Patrick Henry

NEWPORT NEWS - Faylette Elaine Thomas Fox went home peacefully to be
with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003. 'Fay' was born on July 31,
1936, to the late Sandy and Marie Thomas in Warwick County, Va. She was
a dedicated school bus driver for over 30 years. As a part of her
ministry at First Baptist Church Morrison, Fay faithfully served God by
singing in all of the choirs, serving in the Kitchen Ministry, and being

a caregiver for others. Fay loved her family dearly and leaves to
cherish her memories her husband of 46 years, Henry; her children,
Christopher Sr. (Vairy) of Hampton, Va., Sheila Savage (Donald) of
Clarksville, Tenn., Rodney (Glenda) of Hampton, Va., Reginald (Antonia)
of Yorktown, Va., and Kevin (LaShell) of Newport News, Va.; her
grandchildren, Little Chris, Dontrice, Sharena, DiMario, Joshua and
Aaron; one brother, Leslie (Lana) Thomas of Hampton, Va.; and a host of
other cousins, friends, and church family. Fay extended her love to
Rudolph and Rudenia Foye, Princetta 'Nuke' Wooten, and Denise Banks just

like they were her children. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on

Thursday, Sept. 4, at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, and a funeral
service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at First Baptist
Church Morrison, 12720 Patrick Henry Drive. Also, a very special thank
you to Dr. Thomas E. Buekers, M.D., staff of Virginia Oncology
Associates at Middle Ground Boulevard, and the Hospice nurses of

FOX FLORENCE, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2003. She is survived by
her beloved husband, Dr. Sidney Fox; her two daughters, Ilene Efthimiou;

Sherry Speizer and husband, Harry; son, Andrew Fox and Caroline;
brother, William Rosenthal and wife, Amalie; Victor Fox; Jessie and
Bernie Wolfson; her loving grandchildren Jason, Allison, Jessica, Todd
and Darren, and many loving relatives and friends. She was loved by all
and loved them in return. She will be most remembered as a loving wife,
mother and grandmother, and missed terribly. Funeral services will be

Forrest W. Fox

Forrest W. Fox, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 31, 2002.

Mr. Fox served during World War II in the U.S. Navy and was a retired
truck driver working for B & F Trucking and H.J. Hall. He was a member
of Home Missionary Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Ohio
Country Music Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 11 years, Ruth Fox (nee
Robinson); brother, Dale; sisters, Irene Murphy and Bernice Henry; and
step-son, Dennis Parker. He is survived by his wife of 49 years,
Dorothy; daughters, Myrna (Jim) Ellis of Akron, Barbara (Larry) Tennant
of Norton and Cheryl (Gary) Dheel of Portsmouth, Ohio; step-daughter,
Janet Morgan of Doylestown; brother, Wilmer (Twila) Fox of Wadsworth; 14

grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren;
and nu merous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday from 2:30 to 4:30 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the

Francis Hubert Fox, 88, of Independence, MO, passed away June 26, 2003
at Independence Regional Health Center. Mass of Christian burial will be

Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64053. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet

Hubert was born January 23, 1915, in Buffalo, NY. He was a shipping and
receiving clerk for General Motors at the Leed's Plant for 36 years and
was a member of St. Ann Church, Independence, MO. He was preceded in
death by an infant son, Joseph Michael Fox; brothers, J. Clayton Fox, L.

Vincent Fox, J. Cyril Fox; and a sister, M. Eileen Kalous. Survivors
include his wife, Johannah C. Fox, of the home; daughter, Patricia J.
Hines and husband, Bill, Independence, MO; a sister, Molly T. Fox Riley,

Francis X. Fox
 
NORTH GREENBUSH Francis X. Fox, 81, formerly of Lansingburgh, died
Wednesday, April 30, 2003 in Community Hospice at Van Rensselaer Manor.
Born in Troy on September 22, 1921, the son of the late Joseph H. Fox
and Gertrude Connally Fox and husband of Gwendolyn Gramm Fox of
Lansingburgh. They were married July 23, 1944. He was a graduate of St.
Augustine's School and attended Lansingburgh High School. He was a
descendant of a long line of early settlers of Lansingburgh and the
original family businesses of Joseph H. Fox & Sons Steam Cracker Factory

and Flynn's Brush Shop. Mr. Fox was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II,

serving with the 95th Construction Battalion Sea Bees in the South
Pacific. He received two battle stars for the Mariannas and Okinawa. He
was a City of Troy police officer, motorcycle patrol for several years
until becoming disabled on duty. Then he worked for Al Tech Steel Corp.
in Watervliet, security group, for 20 years. He also operated Fox's
Bicycle Shop in Lansingburgh for several years. He retired in 1985. He
was a member of the advisory committee to Boy Scout Troop 11 at the
First Presbyterian Church of Lansingburgh and a member of the North Troy

Rod & Gun Club and the Veterans of Lansingburgh. He was a life member of

the VFW and American Legion in Bonita Springs, Fla. where he and his
wife Gwendolyn spent the winter for many years and a member of the First

Presbyterian Church of Lansingburgh. Survivors, in addition to his wife
Gwendolyn include his beloved children, Bryan Francis Fox (Jane) of
Clifton Park, David Terrance Fox (Capt. Troy Fire Dept.) of
Lansingburgh, Douglas Lawrence Fox (Lori) of Glen Burnie, Md., Jeanine
Alissa Fox Gimlin (Richard J., Jr.) of Lansingburgh; his beloved
grandchildren, Joseph B. Fox, Deane M. Fox, Jonathan T. Fox, Jennifer L.

Frederick E. Fox Sr.

TALLMADGE Frederick E. Fox Sr., 77, died Feb. 27, 2003, from
complications of kidneys and heart.

Born Oct. 27, 1925, he graduated from East High and Akron Uni versity.
He worked for Goodyear Aerospace, retiring from Loral in 1989. Fred
served in the Navy in World War II. At Akron University, he served as
president of Newman Club and was given the John New man Award. He was a
member of Our Lady of Victory.

He joins his parents, Helen and George; brothers, Joe, Dick, Ted; son,
Gregory; and sister-in-law, Joan Heinl. He leaves his wife of 51 years,
Marjorie; daughters, Cecilia of Akron, Patti (Jim) Alspach of Michigan,
their children, Adam and Jill; Jennifer (Joe) Toth of Akron; Vicki
(Nate) Bevers of Arizona. He also leaves sons, Fred Jr. of Akron, Steve
of Montana; brother, John of California; sisters-in-law, Doris Fox, Kate
Naglak, Patt Sullivan, Terry Kopriver, Jane Prease; and brothers-in-law,
Dick Minor, Bill Heinl.

A celebration of his life will be private. Interment at Ohio Western
Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Good

FOX, Frederick J., Sr., age 85, of Tampa passed away peacefully at home
surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 28, 2002. He was a
lifelong resident of Tampa. Survivors include his loving wife of 63
years, Rose Romera Fox; his devoted children, Mary Anne F. Obusek (Joe),
Fred, Jr. (Dolly), Bob (Liana), Tom (Susann) and Pamela Fox Escobar
(Rick); all of Tampa; six grandchildren, Joseph B. Obusek, Jr., Cary,
NC, Michelle O. Broadway, Atlanta, Ga., Stephen R. Fox, Tallahassee,
Justen R. Fox, Temple Terrace, Fred J. Fox, III, Tampa, Ashly Fox,
Irvine, Calif., Madison Fox, Christina and Ricky Escobar; all of Tampa;
three great-grandchildren, Carol Anne Obusek, Olin and Nicholas
Broadway; sister-in-law, Luisa Fox; and numerous loving nieces and
nephews. Fred dearly loved his wife and all of his family. He was the
founder of Fox Dental Laboratory in 1956 and lived to see the business
prosper under his sons, Fred and Bob. He was a devout Catholic and an
active member in Christ the King and St. Lawrence parishes. His
community contributions will be remembered by many. He exhibited
leadership in the role as President of the following professional and
community organizations; Florida Dental Technicians Society, Florida
Dental Laboratory Guild, Jesuit Dad's Club, West Tampa Optimist Club,
Florida Society of Goldsmiths, and Tampa Men's Garden Club. He served on
the Jesuit High School Board of Trustees.He was one of the first
nationally certified Dental Technicians. He was awarded Honorary
National Lifetime membership and received the Crowning Achievement Award
from the Florida Dental Laboratory Assoc., and served on local, state
and national education and membership committees for FDLA. A member of
the board of directors and advisory committee of the West Tampa Boys'
Club, he was inducted into the Boys' ClubHall of Fame and was holder of
the oldest West Tampa Boys' Club membership card (1936). He served in
the Coast Guard Auxiliary, 1942-1946, was listed in Who's Who in the
south and southwest; was Outstanding Citizen of West Tampa and was
awarded Dad of the Year by Delta Beta chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority.
Proud of his Italian heritage, he was a member of the Sons of Italy. A
Funeral Mass will be offered for the repose of his soul Tuesday
afternoon at 2 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, corner of N. Himes
and W. Hillsborough Ave., with Monsignor Laurence H. Higgins, P.A.,
Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories
Cemetery. Pallbearers include; Joseph B. Obusek, Jr., Michelle O.
Broadway, Stephen R. Fox, Justen R. Fox, Fred J. Fox, III, Ashly Fox,
Joseph B. Obusek and Richard Escobar. Honorary Pallbearers include;
Louise Fox, Albert Fox, John Fox, Richard Fox and Lonnie Lovell. The
family expresses special thanks to Joseph G. Sinkovics, MD, Andrew G.
Boyer, MD, theHospice Pewter team, and especially to Kay Floyd for her
loving care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifePath
Hospice, Inc., or to St. Lawrence Catholic Churchin memory of Mr. Fox.

Freida J. (Moore) Fox, 75, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 14, 2003.

Born in Wytheville, Va., she lived in the Akron and Cuy ahoga Falls area
for the past 49 years, and retired from the University of Ak ron. She
was a faithful attend ee of the Cha pel in University Park in Akron, a
member of Meade Avenue Christian Church, a former member of High Street
Christian Church, and active in the Akron Metropolitan Hiking Club.

Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence S. Sr. and Pearl (King)
Moore, and brother, Clar ence S. Moore Jr., Freida is survived by her
husband of 53 years, Richard W. Fox IV; sister, Frances M. (William B.)
Sprouse of Roanoke, Va.; nephew, Randolph M. Sprouse of Fort Worth,
Texas; and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral service Monday, 1 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547
Canton Rd., Akron, with Rev. Sam Rittenour and Rev. James Dull
officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home TODAY 4 to 7 p.m.
Further services to take place at Barnett Funeral Home, with burial to
