Hello,

My family name is Giroux and I have been told that the name arose in the Midi-Pyrenees around 1218 or so. Apparently, we are linked to the village of Giroussens between Albi and Toulouse, in the Tarn. Does anyone know where I could find out more about this connection, or Giroussens (the river or the village), or my family name? My French is weak, so it is better for me to communicate in English, but I am willing to try French if people will be understanding.
