With regard to the recent discussions on transcribers twiddling their
thumbs waiting for copying, is there material out there languishing just
waiting for some TLC? On the list of transcribers, out of 5752 names
there are, I estimate, approximately 1200 who have 0 transcriptions
against their entry and many more with less than 100.

These could be people who have tried transcribing and decided it is not
for them. Are they tying up material that active transcribers could be
working on? Just a thought which I'm sure our excellent organisers have
covered, but just in case........
