I am going through some file changes with another transcriber. The original transcripts have not been kept. I am getting copies of the files from Show-File but the copy and paste technique that I am using is adding an extra space to the end of every line. Does it matter to FreeBMD if these spaces remain if these "copies" are used as replacement files? If it does matter can the spaces be removed on Show-File?

Also these copies are pasted into Excel. When the Excel files are saved as csv extra commas are added to the lines to make each line equivalent in fields to the longest line. This is stopping us from being to upload the amended excel file. Does anyone know a way around this? Editing out all the ",," is just making the job too fiddly.
