The intention is to make the SpeedBMD system available to everyone. The one
mentioned earlier was a Word based template and district files. At present
we are beta testing a dos based version which will be suitable for all to
use. Progress is very encouraging - huge productivity increase with a lot of
automation. We hope to have the latest version distributed to the NZ
Syndicate in the next week for a wider testing base. If all proves
satisfactory it will be made available to all transcribers via the FreeBMD
website.
