which are rows for which you have not entered anything in the Age at Death field. If a field is empty you should transcribe ? for the field. Enter ? for Age at Death in each of the rows given in the message.

You have entered a district/volume combination that WinBMD does not accept by temporarily switching off district validation. The solution here is to switch off district validation when sending the file. Switch it on again after successfully uploading the file.

+WinBMD automatically downloads the latest version of the district file when you upload a file if your version of the district file is out of date (WinBMD version 6 and later). You can also force a download in WinBMD by selecting File/Download district file.
+

+It has been found that sometimes WinBMD appears to get confused about the version of the district file you have in use and so will not download a newer version because it thinks you already have it when you don't. You can check this out as follows:
+

+
to find out the version number of the latest district file click on this link
+
to find out the version number of the file you are using click on this link, click on Browse and navigate to \Program Files\WinBMD\Files and do Open on the file
Districts.txt
. Now click on Get data file version. This should give you the version or say that the version is not recognised.
+

+If the latest version is not the same as the one you are using do the following:
+

+
close WinBMD if it is open
+
edit
\Program Files\WinBMD\WinBMD.ini

+
scroll to the end of the file and remove the line starting with "DistrictFileVersion"
+
start WinBMD
+
do File/Download district file
+
