This is my first query to this group, so please bear with me...

Mr. Motte Alston Read , a noted South Carolina genealogist left records that
were given to the South Carolina Historical Library in Charleston, SC.

A chart in his records shows a line of descent from ________ADAMS of
Dorsetshire, England and ??? to Philis ADAMS b ; d by 1731; m ?
Boston, Mass Willm ARNOLD b ;d by 1731. Willm & Philis (Adams)
ARNOLD came to Carolina about 1694; returned to Boston, Mass, and came again
to SC abut 1684.

A daughter of this couple, Elizabeth ARNOLD b 4 Feb 1695 (Boston Vital
Stats) d ; m John FREEMAN b ;d bef 1735 .
Elizabeth (Freeman) Arnold , was a widow with 3 children in 1735 . apparently
Mr. Read did not have the names of these three children.

Do any of you have information of this South Carolina FREEMAN family? From
family tradition, I believe one of John FREEMAN and Elizabeth ARNOLD'S
children may be my ancestor.
