This is not a genealogy article, but if does speak to the concerns of
many computer using genealogists and, for that matter, anyone who surfs
the web. It concerns a new program that "protects" your computer data
files from Java applets and ActiveX controls that might pop up when you
are surfing the web that try to access files on your computer that you
don't want messed with.

I have no commercial connection to any of these entities. I just
thought this info might be of interest to others. You won't see your
