I am notifying some of the surname lists in which I am most active and
friends that may be waiting for responses from me to tell you that I am,
temporarily, "off-line" for awhile. I am sending this through my
husband's computer because, since Sunday, my server (or computer, not
sure which) has not been downloading my messages and I have only been
getting sporadic mail. That became a minute problem when lightening
struck our house (twice!) on Tuesday, effectively frying my modem and
who knows what else at this point.

So, for those of you wondering why I am not responding, that is the
reason. Unfortunately, we cannot attend to this problem until after the
holiday week-end, so it may be sometime toward the end of next week
before I am back to normal - please be patient. I know I will have
hundreds and hundreds of messages to sift through once I can download my
mail since it will have accumulated nearly two weeks.
