Bert, I probably made a mistake in listing the Waterman surname when I wrote
that, I was mentally going through all the names I will have to search. My
paternal grandmother was a Waterman from the New England area. Long story
where she is concerned, but she passed away and left a journal of sorts that
my dad and his brother came across. My dad knew that I had been working on
the family tree, and bugging him about filing out a Pedigree chart I sent
him, and took it back home with him. After my bugging him for about a year
or so, he finally sent me copies of what she had in it. She had written a
family history of sorts - lots of names with dates and some other notations.
It starts with a Henry Adams in Beaurtin (??) MA, who is apparently an
ancestor of a John Quincy Adams (I'm not convinced it is either of the
presidents although she has 2 John Q Adams' listed). Apparently one of the
Adams daughters married a Waterman - this is where her journal is quite
confusing. It is like suddenly there is a John Olney Waterman, or John
Waterman with several dates - 06 Mar 1929, died Dec 1902, born 21 Sep 1885,
married January and then it goes from there down to her. I haven't quite
decided if I need to research Adams or start with her and try to go
backwards.......... At any rate I haven't gotten nearly as far as you, but I
will hang onto your email and maybe when I sort all this out we will have a
connection??

Sorry I can't be of more help.......

Lisa
