Hello.

I was just wondering about the name Alton. It seems to be an unusual name,
yet you have an Alton and my grandmother's (Pearl Freeman) brother, Grover
Commodore Freeman, named his son, Alton.

<< Hi!

Nice to see the Ky Freemans addressed.

My Ky Freemans are Alton Freeman b. 1809 Ky (probably Madison Co.) I need
proof that he is the son of William Freeman (who is son of Samuel Freeman
and Sarah Turner of Madison Co. Ky, and came from NC) and Elizabeth Coulter
(da of James and Alsey Coulter of Madison Co. Ky.) He went to Howard and
Chariton Co.'s Mo. and married in Chariton co. Mo. Mary Ann "Polly"
Wasson/Warson b. ca. 1814 Ky, d/o Reuben Warson/Wasson and Rebecca
Williams of Madison Co., Ky. Reuben and Rebecca's marriage cert was signed
by Edward Williams in Madison Co. Ky. These Williams's show up in Howard
and Chariton Co., MO. also. Can't find William Freeman after he leaves Ky.
Elizabeth Freeman shows up in Mo a few houses from a Nelson Freeman who is
guardian of Alton's minor children by 1st wife Mary Ann. His 2nd wife
Arnetta -------- who may have been a Freeman to begin with and married
Charles Cravens and then Alton. To confuse the issue Arnetta probably was
related to a David Freeman who was guardian of there minor children.

Any suggestions, clues, or hopefully a connection will be greatly
appreciated

Will share years of research with anyone connected or interested.

Thanks

Glenda Brothers
