Thanks for the response. Our John Washington Freeman was born (we think) in
Henderson Co., TN. The family is thought to have lived in East Tennessee,
some of the family lived for a few years in Iowa in the 1850s, then came to
west Tennessee, where most have lived until the present. Our John was the
grandson of Jackson Freeman, who was the son of John Freeman of east
Tennessee. Jackson is also supposed to have had a brother named John
Freeman. Let's do stay in touch.
