Hi Kay, Good to hear from you! I was being to think all of the Freemans
were down south....

Looked into my info more; its possible there's a connection between the
familys...names seem to be too much of a coincidence!

Charles Hazen Freeman b. 6-15-1862 Detroit d.7-2-1949 Jackson MI
m. Libbie Frances Gochey b. 1865 Detroit d. 1919 Detroit

children: Frederick M.(?) d. 7-1-1912 Detroit
Henry C.
Josephine "Phinnie" Fr. Schaub d. 2-2-1968 Detroit
Wilhelmena "Minnie" Fr. Seater d. 8-4-1939 Detroit
Carrie Fr. Deimel
William

Not sure if Frederick M. was their child...he was buried in the same plot,
but Frederick (Sr?) died 1917. There was also John Freeman buried there
too. Henry C. Freeman was executor of Charles H. will.

Mau sounds familiar...but can't find it in my info. Your Sophia is 18 yrs
jr. to my Charles H. Perhaps you're right, there could be a cousin/ sibling
relationship there somewhere. Families often came over together.

Frederick Freemann b.1815 GER d. 3-18-1917 Detroit
m. Anna Hausmann b. 1-20-1835 Wittenburg GER d. 8-5-1921 Det

Birthplace "Wittenburg" was on a certified typed copy of Anna's death
certificate. It was spelled correctly...but without seeing the hand written
form, it could have been "Wurrtenberg" -- as many immigrants came from
there.

I don't see an exact connection, but it may certainly be there.
