Liz,

Neither John was married twice. John of Wake Co. started out with Martha
and when he died, she was still his wife.

John, (Jr) married Frances Moore up in Wake Co. Her application for his
pension and bounty land warrant says they had 15 children! The info posted
on the web site is wrong. It says John, Jr. married Frances 1st., then
married Fannie (or vise versa) and had him marrying the 2nd. wife before the
1st. one ever died. She was still Fannie Moore Freeman when John (Jr.) died
and all during the application she made. There is testimony to this. John,
Jr. supposedly ran away from home to serve in the Rev. and he did serve.
His father in Wake also furnished supplies.

I have some info on these Freemans in Wake Co. if you can open an attachment
(Word). Let me know if you want it. You will find all of John's chn in
Wake and on to OPD, but does not include all the grandchildren of John of
Wake. You can email me at home.

Wilma K.
