Hi

I just joined this list. Yesterday I got a new clue that is leading me to
this list.

I am trying to trace an Agnes Freeman. I have very little info to go on.
Her father is said to be Arthur Freeman.
Agnes was born abt. 1780.
A marriage bond was posted for a Jerrard Sissell and a Agness Freeman on 12
June 1802 in Nelson Co., KY.   In a later census a daughter lists Agness birth
place as KY.
One of Jerrard/Garret Sissel/Cecil and Agness's sons was named Hamlin and a
daughter named Wilmoth (the new clues). My husband's line comes down from
another daughter Margaret Ann Cecil Haymond

On a family tree I found the following:

Agnes Freeman born 1784 in Susex, VA daughter of

Arthur Freeman b 17 Jan 1762 and Nancy Ann Molone b 12 Dec 1762 married 25
Nov 1783. son of

Hamlin Freeman b 11 Sept 1740 and Agnes Stokes b 8 Oct 1745 married abt
1761.  son of

Arthur Freeman b 1714 and Agnes Stokes b abt 1720 married abt 1739 son of

Henry Freeman b abt 1686 and Prudence Jones b abt 1698 married abt 1713 son
of

John Freeman b 16 Feb 1674/75 and Mary Hancock b 1667 married abt 1685 son of

James Freeman b abt 1640 and Mary _______ married abt 1669  son of

Bridges Freeman and Bridgett Fowler.

Hamlin doesn't strike me as really common name.  Agnes and Garret/Jarred
named a son Hamlin. Also Nancy Ann Molone had a sister Wilmuth....again not common
and they named a daughter Wilmoth.  It is a long shot, but the years seem to
fit, the location is good- Arthur and Nancy Ann had moved to KY at the time
Jarred Sissell and Agnes Freeman were married and the connection of names may be
a clue.

If anyone can connect with this family, I would greatly appreciate any info
that can be shared on this family going either way!!  Any thoughts or ideas to
look at or if someone can direct me to someone else who might have info would
also be great.

Thanks for your time
Kathi Haymond
