Hi John:
I have as source "Les Filles du Roi au xviie siecle" by Yves Landry in which
he lists Marie Louise Michaud who married Jean Daniau as half sister of
Francoise Michel who marr 1) Gilles Dupont and 2)Paul Hubert.
Marie Louise is hown as b. c. 1647 and her mother was Marguerite Tessier and
Francoise was b. c. 1655 and her mother was Marguerite Maistre. Both were
daughters of Bresil/Bresit Michel/Michaud who, evidently, was married at
least twice.
Both entries list the demi-soeurs as from St Pierre de Sennevoy, archev Sens
en Bourgogne (ar. Avallon)
If their father was, in fact, colonel du regiment, there may be hope to
further extend this line. The armed forces in the 17th century were far from
being meritocracies so anyone with a senior position either had the
wherewithal to buy it or he inherited it.
My line of descent is from Francoise and I have noted that the
(le)Maistre of Bourgogne are listed in a number of references although I
have found no listing of a Marguerite married to a Michel/Michaud.
