You are correct.

But if I update to v.11 I MAY want to keep v.7.0 separately on the
system to maintain compatibility with the now defunct German version of
FTM 'FAMILIEN STAMMBAUM v.7.5'. Some of my Relatives over-seas are using
that.
Does v.11 have a feature to convert files back to a lower version like
v.7.0 or 7.5 ?
Of course the 'new' features will not work or be available in the older
program.

Michael ...... If you have v7.0 and install v11.0 it's called updating.
That
means that ALL of your files in 7.0 stay just as they are and the new
features will be added with 11.0. Now you no longer have your old
version
7.0 and your opening screen will confirm that.
