Ancestor chart and Ancestor (Ahnentafel) report have separate settings for
the number of generations. If there was a relationship mistake, you wouldn't
get a chart with the correct people UNLESS the starting person and ancestors
were duplicated separately.
Box charts in FTM are an easy way to check relationships. Sometimes a
researcher imports a duplicate branch from another file and doesn't check
all the links. One of the files sent to me as a test had three sets of
ancestors and descendants of the same man with variations of his name. Found
the duplicates by sorting on birth and death dates in a custom report. --
