I am running this on XP. I have uninstalled it and re-installed the program. Please give me instructions for an amature as to exactly how to repair the problem. I am subscribed to US Delux Ancestery. I have version 16 of FTM.

Are you running Family Tree Maker as Administrator (on XP or Vista)? The missing Critical Component error messages is an indication that you are not. Right clicking on the Family Tree Maker ICON may help this.
