Hi Lesley,
I install my FTM 2006 on the new computer with windows 7 64bit and the
message came up that it would not work. I contacted FTM and they said the
same thing. Do you have win 7 with 32 or 64 bit?

Hi Joe,

Others have answered your query, but it was the comment that you had to
upgrade that caught my attention.

I have a laptop running Windows 7 & I use my FTM 2005 version with no
problems at all. Have you actually tried using your old version or just
gone on that the makers information told you? If you haven't tried it, I
should give it a go if you don't like the newer version.

I upgraded to the 2009 version at one point (still using my old PC with
Windows XP), but reverted back to the 2005 version one as I much prefer the
way that one works. I didn't even think about it when I got my new laptop -
just loaded the programme & away it went.

Hope this helps.

Please, How do you put a prefix such as Gen., Col. Mr., etc. in FTM 2011?
I'm new to this program and wish I had my old FTM 2006 back. If I knew I had
to upgrade with my new win 7 I don't think I would have stayed with XP Pro.
