Ole,
You apparently missed the first part of this thread where I was at first
unsuccessful in doing just that (well, actually from a FTM Version 16
file.
I had to first remove all books, remove all saved views and remove all
To-do items in the Research Journal before I could import my file
successfully.
That's why others suggested using GEDCOM, which I strongly resisted.
