With FTM2005, merely select the file you wish to work on, and all of your
data will come straight into FTM 2005. No manual entry required.

FTM2005 can export to virtually all of the old versions of FTM, and can read
the data they created.

The potential problem, and you have solved it by making CD backups, is that
data files created by FTM2005 are not readable by older versions of FTM
UNLESS you go into FTM 2005 and export in the desired, older format and then
NOT open the file except in the old version.
