Dear Margaret,
Thanks for your comments - differing opinions are what makes a
discussion group really a discussion group --.
I'm glad you are comfortable about your ex-husband to have a combined
file. Unfortunately, in my family that's not practical. My father
stalked my mother early on, and I have no wish that he even know I'm
researching her family, much less know who all her distant cousins
are. And my mother want's nothing to do with him or any of his family.
And while their families are probably related, I'll have to go back
to Noah (of flood fame) to find the link --. His family is from
Belarus, and hers is from the Ukraine. His family immigrated to
Canada, then to California, where he met my mother who'd left
NYC. If I ever do find a more current link, I'll just enter it into
both files.
