Carol,
Thank you for the reply! Yes, I have seen that in a different form. The Switzerland thing has me puzzled as it depends on who you hear it from. My Grandfather T.R. Furry's brother Cameron wrote to Lewis B. Ferry of Woodbury, Pa around 1900 asking about the family history. Lewis is decended from John Furry, Jr. Lewis always stated his father told him they came from Germany. In support of this I have another copy of a letter to Lewis B. Ferry where he fills in the blanks with the entry that John Forry (same spelling as baptismal records) was born in 1779 in Germany. The puzzle continues. Actually I would like to know from Blair County Historical about John Furry's two sisters! One married a man last name Beale, the other a man named Leonard (LAST NAME ALSO. If you visit Altoona you will drive down Beale Ave.

TOM
