So we can look at all of the births that are together on an index
page, in case there are some close, but strange surname variations
that you wouldnt think to search for. I could find several examples
if you wish.

This is a major problem with online databases - often you cant just
"browse" the index like a book.. ALL online databases should have a
"browse" feature, IMO. We are transcribing the *INDEX*. We should be
able to read the *INDEX*!!
