What's more, at the <current> rate of progress, the 1837-1900 period will be
completed in ten years. If the rate continues to grow, then the completion
date could be even quicker.

But how are we doing for completed quarters? It is about time we could
shout about FreeBMD being a usable resource for genealogists. I am not
talking about finding the odd record by chance (been there, done that!), but
being able to search completed quarters, or years with confidence, and
knowing that if a record was not found, it is NOT in that time period!

A hearty congratulations to every transcriber on FreeBMD. WE DID IT - made
the 5 million mark by the New Year. Are there any suggestions for dates for
reaching the 5.5 mark and the 6 mil mark? I think target dates are fun to
try to reach but should be realistic as well.

All the best in transcribing for the 21st century and good luck in all your
searches.
