Subject: Page number problems.
Date: Thu, 31 May 2001 13:57:41 +1000
One of our HAG transcribers has recently struck a couple of problems,
as follows.
The first was an entry with a page number 'A232', which wasn't allowed
by SpeedBMD; so she changed it to 232A, and it was accepted. However,
it is obviously an incorrect entry as it stands, so what to do?
The second was an entry with two page numbers. It is the last entry in the
first column of this particular page; but underneath is a line with only a
different page number, no text or written comment, as follows:-
CONEY, Mildred, Woodstock, 16, (168
(310A
Should this be treated as two entries, or handled in some other way?
Does the leading parenthesis in both numbers have any significance?
Any help or advice will be gratefully received,
Regards,
Roger Higgs.
