Hi All
Dave Mayall, before he went on holiday said there were internet problems
with a virus. This is the notice on the FreeBMD page
Timeout Problems
Please note that problems with pages timing out are NOT due to any fault
with FreeBMD
These problems are caused by excessive bandwidth usage as a result of the
W32.Swen.A virus
Please do not report timeout problems to FreeBMD. There is nothing that we
can do to fix them, as the cause is entirely
I am certain this same problem is causing the current upload failures.
Delaying uploads while this internet problem persists will not matter as
FreeBMD is a long term project.
I suggest that all uploads done during this period are checked that they
have been uploaded in File Management.
The havoc being caused by the current virus is enormous, some ISPs are
collapsing under the strain, btinternet seems to be rejecting mail and that
may apply to other servers linked to it.
Please be patient, I don't think there is anything anyone can do. Just
make sure your anti-virus is VERY UP TO DATE.
cheers
Bob Phillips

can upload readily through the Scan 2 site, although the procedure is
slightly more complicated. I follow the instructions as for SpeedBMD.

the file is being uploaded and the horizontal bar fills up with blue. But
no message to say the file has been uploaded comes. I eventually close the
box and a message indicates 'File loaded successfully as'. But no file
name given so the file has obviously not been uploaded.

the matter if the Scan 2 site works OK.
