RTE 10050 is often caused by the user having a firewall (such as Norton Internet security) installed which is blocking access to the FreeBMD website. The first step would be to check if there is such a product installed and if so disable it and retry the upload.

I have a transcriber who is encountering problems uploading to the site.
The error message she is receiving is "Run-time error 1005; Network
Has anyone encountered this problem before?
As best I can tell, she is connected to the net when she attempts to
upload, is using a home computer and does not think she has a firewall
that is preventing the upload. (Thanks for the suggestions Jeff).
In the meantime, she is sending the files to me and I can upload them
without problem, albeit under my own submitter id not hers.
