I do not intend to get into this affray but would like to mention that Anne
should have sent her terse email to the person(s) in question NOT the entire
list, which is what she is requesting others to do.
I have had emails that I did not like but I certainly did not air my
feelings to the mailing list community.

Subject: Netiquette!
Greetings.
It should not be the purpose of this list to criticise the typing skills or
the spelling or grammatical ability of other posters.
If you wish to make such comments, please address them directly to the
person concerned - but first, consider how you would feel receiving such a
message in YOUR Inbox. Secondly, consider if you know if the person you are
choosing to criticise has had the same level of education as yourself or the
same opportunities to acquire that education. This is a global list open to
all ages. Thirdly, consider if you know the person well enough to know that
they do not suffer from dyslexia or a fine motor skill problem.
Then count to one hundred, very slowly, and ask yourself - are you always
perfect?
If you are then happy that you have a valid criticism, congratulate yourself
on your good fortune in life and neglect to send that hurtful mail.
Any problems with the tenor of this message? Please address them to ME
off-list.
