Hello Kerry
Please try clicking on the greyed out part of the scan viewer and on the main title bar of the viewer. Sometimes it seems to need waking up.

Thanks for your reply. I have opened the image within WinBMD but the options
are greyed out. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software but that
didn't make any difference either.
