I would be interested to know if Ian's suggestion resolved Rachel's problem.

I'm in contact with a volunteer who has advised me he tried reinstalling
WinBMD but stll gets the " Run-time error 429 ActiveX component can't create
object" error message. He's also confirms he has UAC on.

Rachel,
Upgrading to Vista when WInBMD is already installed doesn't seem to work,
some of the files are in the wrong place to where Vista expects them to be.
You need to uninstall WInBMD then install it again.

Hi

I have just upgraded to a new machine with Windows Vista installed and am
having trouble installing Win BMD. I still get the" Run-time error 429
ActiveX component can't create object" with the UAC on as instructed in BMD
FAQ. Can somebody help me please.

Many thanks
Rachel
