This does appear from time to time, and we do know the cause of most of
them.
The marriage probably occured in April 1888.
The reason it happens is that the vicar didn't do his returns on April 1st,
but a few weeks later, when he got round to it (after all, he was allowed 30
days).
When he did his Q1 return, he included all marriages since 1st January,
including (wrongly) some that had happened since 1st April.
Then, when he did his Q2 return, he correctly included it in that return.
