Hi MArgery
I think I would transcribe the entry as Cartland Peter R Hendon 3a 640B (as
this is obviously what the cross outs and handwritten additions seem to
imply) then add a comment as below
#Comment this entry has mother's name as Hollamby crossed through and 'B' in
district is handwritten as is mother's name Hendon. This entry is repeated
at bottom of page with an insertion point to correct place. Should this read
Cartland Peter R Hollamby 3a 640?
That way you are transcribing what you see, as crossings out are meant to
be 'unseen', but are covering all bases in the comment.
I would also put the handwritten line at bottom of page in at the correct
point,
HTH

Subject: Transcription query
I have the following entry on
1932 March Births
Scan 153
Cartland Peter R. (Cartland) {this is handwritten}Hollamby {this mother's
name crossed through} Hendon 3a 640B {the B is hand written}
Do I transcribe the line as originally typed enter a comment line and then
transcribe the line as the handwritten entries make it read or TWYS with the
2 surnames in mother's name and then a comment line?
At the bottom of the column with an insertion mark the line is repeated as
Cartland, Peter R. Cartland Hendon,3A 640B
I have looked on Transcribers knowledge but can not see anything that
resembles this.
