all right so far!
I did the most basic thing available to me, that is, use the Word html development
stuff to write up some info to put onto the free web site. (Some of it is
information I have been dying to put online but had no place to park.)
Two immediate issues: 1). What happened to the background color and design?
Just got it from the format file, but it showed up when I reviewed the file online
earlier. Did it have to do with my ftp setting? It may have defaulted to
"binary".
and
2). How do I deal with the counter? I downloaded a program to run the counter
and a graphic and realized that I had not activated it, but this and other
graphics did not upload.

Also, I placed this file on my genjournalz site but just got a file listing
there. How do I make the "plain" genjournalz site my actual home page? I realize
I may be asking questions which are too basic for this forum and will happily be
guided to resources. As you can see, I do not have a clue.
