Yes the file created by shared borders is either named top.htm, left, right..
etc.
You have to make sure you are viewing hidden folders in order to see them.
Open the page you want to edit and then save after doing so.

Is it possible to get into the HTML of the shared borders on FP2000?
Select Tools, Web Settings, Advanced, check Show documents in hidden
directories.
You will see _borders directory. Select the bottom.htm or side.htm.
This is your common border and you can edit like you do any page and it will
update all the other pages with this code. >>
