A new page uploaded with exactly the same name as a
previous page always replaces the old page. Are you saying that is what you
try to do and that the previous material is not replaced? The exactly same
name? If you rename your main page index.htm or html, and then upload it, it
should replace what is already there.
By the way your main page should be named index.html or
htm. (no variations) ~corn.htm is meaningless. Corn is not part of the
file name, nor is the tilde.
