Because the first one is a permanent URL which should not change unless
drastic things happen at RootsWeb. The second one (which admittedly is a
faster path) could change. It's quite possible that RootsWeb would split
the searching across even more boxen -- and what is currently redirected to
"searches2" might someday wind up at "searches9".
