I'm glad somebody mentioned this.
I've actually been considering writing my own program to convert .ged files to web pages. I really don't like the programs that are out there right now. They aren't flexible at all. I've only used the free stuff, so maybe there are some out there that are better. But from what I've seen, there's a real lacking as far as what you can do with the web pages you can create using these programs. With the technology that's out right now, there could be so much more control that could be had over the pages that are generated. Genealogy programs just seem to be a little behind in the software world.
Would it interest anybody in seeing a new program out there? I'm just curious. I'm definately going to write a program for myself, because it's getting to be a pain taking my genealogy info and putting it on the web. The way I do it, anyway. I just never really thought about making it available to other people.
I'm a computer science double major (chemical engineering is my other major, as if anybody cares :-), so I "sort of" know what I'm doing in trying to come up with such a program.

Gee Jenny,
I forgot about the ged program...and my program isn't currently installed
due to a recent reformat...but again zdnet should help you find one that's
free, cause the one I use is:-)
