Dennice, I think you're missing the point here: virus warnings are off topic on
genealogy lists. Not just "virus hoaxes", but warnings about legit viri as
well.

RootsWeb has always asked its users *not* to do this, because there are
appropriate places for virus information dissemination and discussion, and
genealogy lists ain't them--and everyone and their cousin posting virus
warnings, and then deciding to forward somebody else's virus warning to sixteen
other lists each, etc., overloads the servers and irritates the heck out of the
users.....<g>
