After reading Pat's method of encrypting an email address, I started thinking that it would be neat to write a JavaScript program to do the same thing. The next day, I received a JavaScript program from TheJavaScriptSource that converted a single character to the decimal value. I modified it so it would convert an entire string of characters and concatenated "mailto:" to the front end of the string. I uploaded it to my web http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cyrs/CharacterTest.htm Just type in your email address, and it will automatically convert it. Copy it to your clipboard and paste it into your HTML document.

Note to FrontPage users: Don't paste it into the hyperlink dialog box. FP is smarter than you are, and it will convert it back for you. Paste it directly into your HTML document.

I hope this cuts down on the SPAM.
