Another suggestion about your midi files is to place them at the
top of the pages and not at the bottom. This way, if someone chooses not to
listen, some people do, the option is right there immidately to turn it off
OR they can hit the "stop" button in their browser. I know that works for
Expolorer.
To add to Elsie's suggestion about stating you have midi files on your site,
I noticed you have them through out your site. You can make a statement just
once on your first page (
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~chatsol/ ) so you won't have to
repeat yourself each time (:>)

I only loaded your home page (by the way, the URL you
provided is incorrect, it's really at
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~chatsol/ )
and the music plays just fine in Internet Explorer. I
didn't take the time to test in other browsers.

Since you asked, I'll point out that I do not like
visiting web sites that automatically play music.
Music is fine, but I believe that the webmaster should
always allow the visitor to CHOOSE to hear it. At
least you did provide a way for me to turn it off --
but I'd prefer that you simply tell me that it is
there (and maybe why listening to it will enhance the
viewing of your site) and then allow me to turn it on
if I wish.
