An assumption would be personal preference and available software to
present your data in a manner you like.
I have always liked a tree that displays from the "top down". Having
smaller
numbers of people to deal with, this seemed feasible. What appears simple
is not always easy, but a tree was designed to suit my needs.

I am not aware of any "official name" for this style of presentation, or if
there is any software that creates a top down tree. Good luck in your
