I checked the URL you sent. I notice it mentions "When work is fixed in
tangible medium of expression". I'm not interested in throwing the whole
book up on the web, just SOME of the photos. Are the photos included in the
word 'work'? The photos themselves were clearly taken before 1923. I think
the latest one is dated 1906.
Sorry to be a pest about this BUT I don't want to step on any toes. These
are NOT my family photos but photos from where my Great Grandfather,
Grandmother and Father lived. :-)

Works created after 1923 have varying copyright terms and extensions
depending on whether they were published with notice or not, if a copyright
