I downloaded this, (Spy-Bot) and cleaned about a million files, but perhaps
I am misunderstanding, I still have banner ads and pop-ups on my site
.. Am I doing something wrong?

I know that Ancestry.com made the deal with Rootsweb when they took over,
to keep the sites free ... but I suspect this is their way of making us
angry, and thus, we will agree to pay, or leave. The folks up there are
interested in making money, genealogy is just their forum. I have had
many problems with Ancestry.com in the past, and will no longer subscribe
to them for those reasons. They were never forthcoming with answers, form
letters where e-mailed in response to my queries. Out of a years
subscription, about 50% of the time I was unable to gain access to the
database, or the file was missing!
