Thank you for your help: I should have used percentages instead of pixels to build the table.
I discovered that by leaving out the first " after the DOCTYPE bit at the start of the code that the top banner disappears.... Is anyone else familiar with this trick? How does it work, and is there any way to get rid of the bottom banner....?
