The very /first/ thing to do to debug rendering problems like this
is to make certain that your page has ONLY valid HTML. Use a validator,
like the W3C one: http://validator.w3.org/detailed.html
Chances are good that fixing the problems discovered by the
validator will allow the page to render as you wanted.
