Barb,
The .dot extensions are definitely a problem. It appears as if you have
created the pages with MS Word. Probably only someone with MS Word on the
their computer can even view the pages. When Internet Explorer opens the
pages, it uses Word, and it appears as if you can even edit the page that
you are viewing (although it would not be saved back to your web site).
The .dot extension will also cause problems with computers that are setup to
block macros.
You can save your pages as .htm or .html type pages by using "Save as" and
changing the file type to "Web Page (*.htm, *.html).
In addition, two of your pages are a little too large. Index.htm.doc is 72K
and CollierCemetary2.dot is 61K. Those will take a long time to download on
a dialup connection.
I'm not sure what you can do to reduce the size of those pages. I tried
saving them as .htm files and it appears that the text file itself
(excluding the graphics) for Index.htm is 37K. The .jpg file used for the
background on the Index. page is 19K, perhaps you could use graphics editor
to reduce the size of that file.
Hope that helps a little.
