Yes, there are ftp programs that do this. It sounds like you
may be using one of them on your other site. What software
are you using for the two sites? Could you switch to the one
that does what you want for both sites?
MS Front Page does this. In the Macintosh world, anArchie does it.
There are others, but I don't have a list of them prepared.
If you really want to replace an entire site, rather than
update only changed files, most of the ftp programs with a
graphical interface will do it. In Bulletproof Ftp,
for example, after connecting to an ftp server you see
a directory of your local disk and a directory of the
remote server. If you drag an icon of a directory from
one to the other, the entire directory tree will be
transferred. Other programs work similarly.
