I'm not answering your question but I wanted to point out something I
finally learned after some time working with this stuff. You have
resized your photos by changing the width and height in the img src
tag and, because of that they are distorted.

I used to make my thumbnails like that and came up with the same
thing. There are simple photo programs where you can resize them the
proper way and also those that make thumbnails for you. I use Paint
Shop Pro now and do it all there but perhaps you have something at
hand. I know Adobe Photo Deluxe came with my printer and I used that
for a long time for all my photo improving. As for thumbnails I
recently had a hard drive crash and haven't installed these yet. Here
